We are excited to announce that our organic Breakwells Seedling Cider has won a gold medal in the West Country Medium Cider category in the International Cider Challenge 2019!
Our Breakwells Seedling is single varietal cider made from Breakwells Seedling apples which produces a fruity, sparkling medium-dry cider. The apple was first discovered a century ago at Perthyre Farm, Monmouth. Because of its delicious flavour, farmer George Breakwell propagated the seedling and it was later planted in many Herefordshire orchards, including our own.
We have won medals at the ICC four years in a row now!
In 2016 our Browns single variety was awarded a gold medal and our Black Fox blended cider a bronze medal, in 2017 our Organic Perry was awarded a bronze medal, and in 2018 our Vintage won silver!
